Level 2+ Inversion Practice 50 minutes
Practice makes...practice. If you never practice something or never start trying anything you have wanted to do you will never get get better or even start. This 50 minute practice goes directly into some of the most common inversions like; Sirsasana (headstand), Pincha Mayurasana (feathered peacock or forearm stand), Adho Mukha Vrksasana (handstand), and Sarvangasana (shoulderstand). We will use a timer for longer holds but don’t be intimidated by the holds, just do your best.

Level 1-2 Sirsasana I (headstand) 40 minutes
This short sequence will prep you for what BKS Iyengar calls the king of all asanas. We start off with great shoulder routine to both open, yet strengthen enough to balance on them. Of course, we will touch on some needed core strength for our success. We will also make sure to get a balance of hip opening and strengthening for optimal stability in our center of gravity. Although headstand is the goal, it isn’t required to enjoy this class, you may always stop and work more on what ever is needed most so you can build strength or mobility as you walk the path.
